When you use Quantum Button, we may collect:
Quantum Button uses cookies and similar technologies:
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services (Firestore and Realtime Database). Game progress is synced to the cloud when you sign in, allowing you to play across devices. Guest data is stored locally on your device only.
We use the following third-party services:
You have the right to:
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We retain your game data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove all personal data within 30 days. Anonymous aggregated data (such as total games played globally) may be retained indefinitely.
The core Quantum Button game is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Camera, video and recording features are restricted to users aged 16 or older. This restriction reflects Australian online safety legislation and similar laws in other jurisdictions. The first time you enable any camera-related feature, you will be asked to confirm that you meet this age requirement. Misrepresenting your age to access these features is grounds for account termination.
Parents and guardians who believe a minor has accessed camera features without permission may contact us to have the relevant data and account removed.
Quantum Button includes optional features that use your device's camera. These are entirely opt-in and disabled by default. You may use the entire game without ever enabling them.
Solo recording (face in PiP): When you choose to record a solo round with the "Show Face" option enabled, your camera is activated locally on your device for the duration of that round. The recorded video is composited entirely on your device.
VS Mode camera: When you enable the Camera toggle in a VS duel, your camera feed is transmitted directly to your opponent using peer-to-peer WebRTC technology. Camera streams are not routed through, copied to, or stored on Quantum Button servers. The video flows directly between the two players' devices using free public STUN servers (operated by Google) for connection negotiation only.
No audio: All camera features are video-only. We do not capture, transmit, or store audio from your microphone at any time.
You may revoke camera permissions at any time through your browser or device settings. Doing so will disable camera-related features but will not affect the rest of the game.
All recordings are stored locally on your device only. Quantum Button does not upload, copy, back up, or otherwise transmit your recorded videos to our servers or any third party.
If you choose to share a recording outside the app (for example, to a messaging app or social media), that sharing happens through your device's native share function and is governed by the privacy policies of the destination service. We have no visibility into where your recordings go after you share them.
Because recordings never leave your device, we cannot recover them if your device is lost, reset, or replaced. We recommend backing up any recordings you wish to keep using your device's standard backup tools.
If you submit a report against another player, we collect: your account ID, the reported player's account ID, the reason category you selected, any optional details you provided, the duel code where the incident occurred, and any optional screenshot you attach. Screenshots are resized on your device before submission to reduce file size.
Reports are stored in our Firebase database and are reviewed by Quantum Button administrators. Reports may be retained for up to 24 months for safety review purposes, or longer if required to investigate ongoing safety issues.
Auto-block: When you report a player, their account ID is automatically added to your personal block list. You will not be matched with blocked players in future quick-join or browse-rooms sessions. Your block list is stored in your user profile and synced to the cloud so it persists across devices.
You may request deletion of your submitted reports or block list by contacting us at the email below.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the game or on our website. Your continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
